My Darling Clementine
My Darling Clementine, was voted “Americana Artist Of The Year – 2012” by the UK Country Music Association for their inaugural release “How Do You Plead,” has been added to the Lanark Records artist roster. The group is looking forward to a great partnership with the label. Their latest release, “The Reconciliation?” is listed in the top 10 country albums of 2013 of Pop Matters.
The group consists of the husband and wife team of Michael Weston King and Lou (Louise) Dalgleish. Both of their releases contain backing from some of the greatest musicians in the UK. who have played with Graham Parker, Van Morrison, Nick Lowe and Elvis Costello.
Michael is a founding father of the British Alt. Country scene with his band “The Good Sons” in the '90s” and is “as fine a singer/songwriter as Gram Parsons” according to former Byrd and Flying Burrito Brother, Chris Hillman. After fifteen solo albums and countless tours, both solo and with the likes of Nick Cave, Guy Clark, Steve Earle and Roger McGuinn, Michael has become recognized as one of the world’s finest songwriters.
Lou Dalgleish is one of the greatest female singers in the UK and is a singer songwriter of outstanding quality, who has been praised by, and worked with, the likes of Elvis Costello, Bryan Ferry and The Brodsky Quartet. Lanark Records is proud to release the first vinyl compilation from My Darling Clementine. Featuring six of the great songs from each of My Darling Clementine’s releases, the record comes packaged with a “flip” cover. Each side, containing the songs from either “How Do You Plead?” or “The Reconciliation?” consists of a duplication of the original album cover so that both covers become the covers for the Lanark Records vinyl release.
