Radio embraces Lanark Releases

Lanark Records Releases Score Big On Radio

If you live in an area that has been hit hard this winter with snow and ice, it may have given you some unexpected free time.  It gave us a moment to reflect on the growth at radio airplay for the Lanark artists in 2014.

In particular, response has been and continues to be strong for Robert Gordon and the Reach Around Rodeo Clowns.  It's easy for me to get wrapped up in what I'm doing and being on the phone most of the day.  It was vital for me to head west in 2014 to host the Lanark Records stage during Viva Las Vegas.  It also allowed me to witness the excitement first hand to a wildly enthusiastic crowd and that was a highlight of the year for me.

It helped kick start the launching of Robert Gordon's I'm Coming Home album, which was a return to form for him and proved he hasn't lost a step.  Stations like Sirius The Loft, Sirius-XM Outlaw Country, Triple A reporting stations like WEXT, WBFJ, WWCT, KRSH, Americana reporters like WCNI, KFJC, KVNF, KRFC, WEVL, Wildman Steve, and so many more stations were giving this spins!

The Reach Around Rodeo Clowns continued to build on their most ambitious project to date with Rockabilly Deluxe.  Stations giving this one spins include Triple A reporters KRSH, KBAC, KPND, WNKU and Americana stations like KRFC, WCNI, Wildman Steve, WEVL plus several more including podcasts hosted by the likes of Professor & Hot Rod Scott and college station hosts like Scott Birney & Mac Thomas on WVUD.  Lanark is being played across the world both terrestrial and online.

The Blue Plate Specials have started picking up some great Blues stations such as WABG in Greenwood, MS and Blues Alley online.  Expect more to give some attention to this bluesy rockin' band soon!  2015 also looks to have some big names dropping projects in the coming months as well.  Greats like Charlie Gracie, Linda Gail Lewis and Billy J. Kramer to be exact!  It's an honor to even mention their names much less bring them to radio this year!   Make some space in your playlist soon for these great projects on the way!!
