The Rockats capped their recent U.S. tour with a day of recording at the Lanark Records studios in Lancaster, PA. The Rockabilly pioneers closed their recent tour with a sold out show at the famed Bowery Electric in New York City, then raced back to the studio ahead of a major Northeast snow storm to record four new sides. The new tracks, which will be released in early 2014, were produced by Lanark producer Quentin Jones. Jones, who produced The Rockats 2013 Lanark debut, “Rockin’ Together”, is also lead guitar for The Reach Around Rodeo Clowns and producer extraordinaire with 2013 projects by The Gas House Gorillas, The Reach Around Rodeo Clowns and ex Maverick Nick Kane under his belt. He is also currently working with Rockabilly legend Robert Gordon producing a new recording due in 2014. “We beat the snow storm back to Lancaster then cut four new tunes all night,” said Jones. The new tracks will be released in time for the annual Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Festival in the spring.
