Record Setting Crowd at Lanark Stage for Roots and Blues Festival
Feb 6, and 7 of 2015 saw the return of the Pennsylvania’s Lancaster Roots and Blues Festival with over 50 artists at 8 venues, on 10 stages. Lanark Records acts appeared Saturday night on the Elks stage and the room was sold out, something the venue has never done it its history. The standing room only crowd was treated to great sets by Blue Plate Specials, Dibbs Preston and the Detonators, The Reach Around Rodeo Clowns, Charlie Gracie and the Gas House Gorillas. Spinning records and setting the mood between acts was Lanark's own D.J. Mac Thomas. Lanark’s merchandise booth was flooded by new fans buying up vinyl albums, Compact Discs and band shirts by the sack!
Lanark has already set its sights on the Lancaster Roots and Blues Festival for 2016. All of us at Lanark want to send out a big "thank you" and "way to go" to event organizer Rich Ruoff!
