Lanark Records Officially Kicks Off “52 Singles In 52 Weeks” Series
Lanark Records officially kicks off their “52 Singles In 52 Weeks” digital download series starting with the August 14th release of the Reach Around Rodeo Clowns commanding cover of the Buzz & The Flyers’ classic,“Boomerang”. Reach Around Rodeo Clowns have branded themselves of bringing tongue in cheek lyrics with a lot of attitude and volume. Guitarist Quentin Jones once again produced this tasty slice of
rockabilly Heaven at the Lanark Studios in Lancaster, PA. Wendell Jones’ attention-getting vocals never fail to amaze as you find yourself hooked within seconds. This single also features an all-star rhythm section of Liberty DeVitto (Billy Joel, Carly Simon, Meatloaf) on drums and Dave Roe (Johnny Cash, John Mellencamp, Dwight Yoakam) on bass.
The next release in the series comes from Annie Marie Lewis & Danny B Harvey! Annie Marie Lewis is the daughter of fellow Lanark label-mate, Linda Gail Lewis, as well as the niece of Jerry Lee Lewis! She’s been making a name for herself for years now touring non-stop with her mom as well as her husband, Danny B. Harvey, who produced this new single, “Memphis Stroll”. Look for a full album of rockers from Annie and Danny this fall.
